Miller advises Carswell that he is enclosing a copy of the letter which he is writing to Dr. Jeff Davis. He advises that the letter might be of interest since Carswell phoned yesterday afternoon. The attached letter is written to Dr. Jeff Davis, Executive Secretary, United Texas Drys from E. J. Miller, Judge, 35th Judicial District, Brownwood, Texas dated July 16, 1941. Miller reports on the proceedings regarding Ellison vs. Texas Liquor Board, advises to await the action of the Court of Civil Appeals and gives a brief itinerary of his travel and work to date and for the next two weeks requesting further remittance as soon as it may be convenient.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Jeff Davis, Executive Secretary, United Texas Drys, dated July 29, 1942. Davis reports on the voting results in Wichita County stating, "We licked 'em", and requests news regarding San Angelo.

Blackwell advises Carswell that he visited with Peggy, that it was a pleasure to meet her and that their personnel department has advised her and suggested a lead.
