Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "A brief but viciuos thunderstorm struck northeast Oklahoma City Sunday afternoon. High winds ripped the roof off a motel and damaged several homes but no one was reported injured. Most of the storm's havoc was confined to a six-block area extending to the east and north of the 89er Inn. Roofs were ripped from several homes, and a greenhouse had several hundred windows knocked out. Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co. reported considerable difficulty with power failures in northeast parts of the city as a result of the storm. Officials said wind and broken tree limb knocked down power lines in the area. A large area south and east of the capitol - including the goernor's mansion - was without electricity for about an hour after the storm. A portion of the damaged roof dangles precariously in the northeast corner of the inside courtyard at the 89er Inn struck by violent winds during a brief strom Sunday afternoon. Debris was scattered across Lincoln Blvd."
