This report discusses the Department of the Interior's report regarding the environmental effects of building the Trans-Alaska oil pipeline and their recommendation to allow its building as long as certain requirements were met.

The survey covered in this documentation was conducted in Southcentral Alaska that included the Cook Inlet and Kenai Peninsula regions of Alaska comprising six quadrangles. The survey was performed between 1976 and 1978 under the United States Department of Energy's National Uranium Resource Evaluation (NURE) Program. This program provides information on reconnaissance radioelement distribution to assist in assessing the uraniferous material potential in the United States.
