Local businesses seen as the crowd gathers include the Abbey Inn, More Fun Comics and Games, Atomic Candy, Chestnut Tree, Recycled Books and Records (Opera House), Andy's Bar, the Downtown Mini Mall, Well's Fargo bank, and McNeill's Appliances. Parade participants include Texas Isshinryu Karate Kai, Denton Institute of Phrenology Half-Fast Marching Band, Frack Free Denton, Denton Fire Department, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 920, Denton Future Farmers of America (FFA), Beth Marie's Old Fashioned Ice Cream, Girl Scouts, Cartwright's Ranch House, North Texas Youth Football Association (NTYFA), DC Raiders, and the Cross Timbers Community Church. Following the parade, Treat and Nomai attend a community and family event at the Quakertown Park and Denton Civic Center and watch a live musical performance on the courthouse lawn. The movie ends with fireworks at Apogee Stadium.
