Howdy- you see you are cutting down on the use of writing paper therefore I return the same. This time we made the grade of getting a place to stay. The card shows the lobby. Last night we took a boat ride up or down the Potomac. It is now 8:40 and we plan on going to see the monuments etc. This hotel is quite nice but rather old. So long. Woodrow."

Postcard from Mrs. Davis to her daughter, Sandy Davis, writing to say Sandy's father brought back fish like the one on the front of the postcard from his trip, and that they will be attending an aunt's funeral in town. The front of the postcard features an altered, novelty photograph of a large fish on a flat bed truck. The truck is parked in the driveway in front of a tall, wood-sided building (partially visible to the left). The bottom of the front of the postcard reads, "Had a hard time landing this one!"
