Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter telling him of a recent fire they had "the 11th and one Sunday morning at 3 a.m." The photograph shows a devastated building with a caption that reads: "Great Fendrich Fire Ruins Main St. Looking West from 2nd St. Evansville, Indiana." The building in the center is almost completely destroyed while the one to its left has most of its walls still standing though its roof is gone.

Postcard of a fire department with a new motor ladder truck. One fire fighter is at its steering wheel, and the other six are standing along its side. A printed description of the vehicle is provided below the image. On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "Dear Sir, nearly all of our Fire Department is motor driver, I will send them all each time we write & exchange with Chief all over the country. Yours Truly, Henry Woodward."

Postcard from Henry Woodward to George Pendexter describing the fire engine in the picture on the back. The photo shows a fire engine with a water hose wound up in the center and another one pointed in the air. The men of the Winchester Park Fire Station are sitting on the truck, two in the front, and five in the back.

On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "I will start with our chiefs, a very nice view card, then will go on to all of our new style Fire Department. I have ordered a lot, but they have not arrived yet. Be here in a few days. We have not any big where they could get the pictures of the departments [...]"

The photograph shows a horse-drawn fire wagon racing down a street with a large crowd of people lined up on the sidewalk watching the action; some of the firemen on the wagon are working with the large hose loaded in the back.

On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "If you write again soon, address to chillmark, M.V., Mass - and here for a short stay. Would you care for a view from the [...] fire dept. Though, mostly sea views."

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter mentioning a recent fire that took place by a drug store and restaurant; Johnston says this took place "across the street from the Parker fire" that he had sent a card of in the past. The photograph shows the ruins of a building in Bellevue, Michigan after having been destroyed by a fire in December 1911; the only thing left is a pile of rubble and dirt.

Two fire fighters are at the front of the vehicle, seven are standing on its side, and one is on the ladder at the back. The sender has left a handwritten note at the back of the postcard; it says, "Please pardon delay due to not having the kind you desire on hand. I like hospitals, monuments, and light horses, best of all - then anything interesting or pleasing to look at. I am going away next week for the rest of the summer, so you can address to Chilmark, M.A. [...]"
