Conversation with farmworkers at the paddy field
This is a short video recording of a conversation at Aquil Ahmad's paddy field back in 2016, where the researcher, along with the farm laborers, is transplanting rice saplings. Aquil Ahmad records the activity, and in the meanwhile, one of the workers notices him and tells him to look at what his grandson is doing. Aquil replied to let him do and learn! Then he asks her whether those yellow turned saplings would also take roots.

Bot-teachers in hybrid massive open online courses (MOOCs): A post-humanist experience
This article explores networked learning technologies and the development of Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs). The study examines and explains hybrid MOOCs and focuses on the use of bot-teachers within a post-humanist perspective. The research findings reveal that, while the use of bot-teachers is beneficial in terms of facilitating and increasing discourse/interaction, it is ineffective in providing other components of teaching presence. Yet ultimately, learners' positive behaviors indicate that bot-teachers hold promise as an educational tool.

Transcription: Traditional story about Suumphaai and Raangleen by Shangchrek Tholung at Thamlapokpi
Transcription of a retelling of Suumphaai le Raangleen paomin (the Story of Suumphaai and Raangleen), as narrated by Shangchrek Tholung. Ranglen's wife hates his sister Sumphai, and orders him to sell her. Sumphai asks that she sell him to be a slave in a rich village. Ranglen ends up selling her in exchange for a single shaft of a rice plant. Later, Ranglen invites his sister to a feast, and she invites him to eat from what she has grown. Anticipating that his sister will not come, he instructs messengers to tell her he has died. On her way to the anticipated funeral, she is surprised to hear the sound of the Living Drum being played (rather than the Death Drum). She surmises that Ranglen has deceived her, and leaves in a huff. The origins of "Sumphai's goat" (a kind of goat) and "Sumphai's wine" (water that has accumulated in the cleft of a tree) are connected to the final episode of this tale.
