["This Eternal Flame" at Hopkins County Veterans Memorial]

Photograph of a memorial structure titled, "This Eternal Flame," at The Hopkins County Veterans Memorial in Sulphur Springs, Texas. The structure was donated by Rhonda Adair. It consists of a tall, trapezoidal statue with a fire pit on top. Insignia for the US Army, Marine Corp, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Marines have been engraved into one of the structure's sides. Shrubs can be seen behind the memorial in the background of the photograph.

Photograph of a sculpture at The Hopkins County Veterans Memorial in Sulphur Springs, Texas. The sculpture consists of four panels of stone inlaid in a large granite wall. On the right side of the sculpture is a train. To the left of the train, two soldiers are preparing to board. Another soldier is embracing a woman in the center of the scene. Other people can be seen walking. On the left side of the sculpture, a man is sitting in front of a station building with a sign above the windows that says, "Sulphur Springs." Above the sculpture on the granite wall are the words, "Hopkins County Veterans Memorial." The word "memorial" is being covered up by a tree in the photograph. Text has been engraved into the granite on either side of the sculpture.
