Understanding Connections: Examining Digital Library and Institutional Repository Use Overlap

This paper examined how users navigated between other collections within the UNT IR, as well as within the UNT DL. Through this examination, we observed patterns between how users navigated between objects, understood which collections may have related to one another, examined why some unique items were used more than others, and viewed the average number of items used within a session

Effect of amorphous cellulose on the deformation behavior of cellulose composites: molecular dynamics simulation (open access)

Effect of amorphous cellulose on the deformation behavior of cellulose composites: molecular dynamics simulation

This article is a study aimed at predicting and enhancing the properties of the blend, as well as exploring the mechanism, of a polylactic acid (PLA)/amorphous cellulose composite system through molecular characterization. The static properties of the amorphous cellulose/PLA blend model and the mechanical response of the material under uniaxial tension were studied by molecular dynamics simulation to establish the structure–property relationship.

Protein functional module identification method combining topological features and gene expression data

Article conducting an intensive study on the problems of low recognition efficiency and noise in the overlapping structure of protein functional modules, based on topological characteristics of PPI network. Developing a protein function module recognition method ECTG based on Topological Features and Gene expression data for Protein Complex Identification. The experimental results show that the ECTG algorithm can detect protein functional modules better.

An empirical Bayes approach to incorporating demand intermittency and irregularity into inventory control

Article asserts that spare parts inventory management is complex due to the combined impact of intermittent and variable demand patterns. This study proposes a novel nonparametric Bayesian forecasting approach with its roots in the empirical Bayes paradigm.
