Onionskin paper carbon copy of letter from John J. Herrera to M. C. Gonzales of San Antonio, Texas, dated June 12, 1952. The letter is regarding Herrera's bid for the presidency of LULAC. Herrera discusses some of the voting issues of Texas and New Mexico LULAC councils and mentions that Gonzales will be making the nominating speech for Herrera at the National LULAC Convention, with George Lopez of Wharton, Texas, seconding the nomination. And also, in a short note, the letter mentions the birth of Herrera's daughter Cathy Luz.
