Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "Hobart's first black policeman, Charles Revels, gives police chief Doss Kutch detail for an arrest report. The courageous policeman was credited with saving the life of a 30-year-old Hobart nurse whose light car was washed off the road in a flash flood Sunday. Lena Kay Kingsbury was caught up in a barbed wire fence, in 5-1 / 2 feet of rushing water, after her car had gone off the country road near Hobart. Revels, 34, came to her aid when coming upon the scene."
