Patent for "a new and improved machine of this character embodying continuous power mechanism, whereby the plunger is automatically operated. . .the employment, in connection with the press, of a plunger provided with a spring-actuated face, whereby the plunger is caused to rebound after each stroke for the purpose herein specified. . .to provide tension mechanism whereby both sides of the baling-chamber are tightened or released by a single adjustment" (13-26).

Patent for a new and improved churn-motor. This design consists in "[t]he combination of the frame, the rock-shaft arranged longitudinally in the top of the same and having the arm and the cross-head, the dasher-rods pivoted to the cross-head, the crank-shaft journaled transversely in the frame below the rock-shaft and having the fly-wheel and the pulley, the pitman connecting the crank-shaft and the arm, the driving-shaft arranged transversely in the frame, the pulley thereon, and the belt connecting the pulleys" (lines 64-74).

Patent for a new and improved padded underwaist. This design "has for its object to provide a waist to be worn by persons who are thin or emaciated, to beautify the appearance, to increase the breadth from shoulder to shoulder, and to make the form look plump and round" (lines 14-18). To this end it is "provided upon its inner surface with pockets extending down the middle of the back, on the breasts, around the lower edge, down the sleeves, and down the sides beneath the arms, the pockets down the sleeves and beneath the arms being united together" (lines 90-95).

Patent for "a suitable belt or other support carrying movable contact-plates, a galvanic battery, an induction-coil, connections between the battery and coil, and conductors connecting the secondary wire of the coil to the contact-plates through which the shock is to be conveyed, the contact-plates being provided with suitable binding-screws or other connectors, and also having suitable flaps or insulators for covering them when not in use" (lines 21-31).

Patent for a new and improved sewer mold. This design consists in "[a]n expansible and contractible reversible mold for sewers, in form in cross-section of either a semi-circle, semi-ellipse, or semi-ovate, formed of segmental portions hinged together and provided with stay-braces and thrusting tie-rods" (lines 76-81).

Patent for a new and improved fruit picker. This design "is to provide a picker that may be adjusted in length to suit trees of different heights. A further object is to provide a picker with a fruit-receptacle, which is constructed of wire gauze or netting to adapt the same to be introduced readily between branches that are close together; and a further object is to provide a picker which is simple in construction, and can be cheaply made and not liable to get out of order" (lines 16-26).
