The article goes on to talk about how Myres was friends with "Buffalo Bill" Cody, Pawnee Bill, Will Rogers, and Pancho Villa. It also talks about how he started becoming involved in the saddle trade, learning the skill and then opening up his own shop at a mere twenty-two years of age. Myres also talks about his disdain for western films due to the fact that he feels they are not very accurate - especially the inclusion of "two-gun men" which he never encountered.

Letter from Sam Myres to Judge R. C. Crane apologizing for taking so long to write him back after his kind letter asking how Myers was doing. Myres explains that he has been avoiding doing work, and paying honest obligations and so that is why he has not responded. He tells Crane about a new book out that he has enjoyed and if Crane is interested, offers to mail it to him so he can also read it. Myres says that the next time he is in Sweet Water, he hopes to meet up with Crane to catch up.

Letter from Mrs. Sophie Gabrick - written by Mrs. C. R. Carlson - to Captain Charles R. Griggs thanking him for his letter regarding her son's death. She thanks Griggs and the other men and women for their service and hopes that the war will be over soon. Included, also, is the envelope the letter was delivered in.

Speech given by Judge Terry Julian to the men of Company E of the 36th Division at their reunion on May 17, 1986 in Sweetwater, Texas. The speech mostly discusses the history of the company, when it was organized, where it was moved to, where the men came from, and the casualties they suffered during World War II.

Program from a dedication of the men in Co. E 142nd Infantry 36th Division, names of the men in the company are listed throughout the pages; pages 4 and 5 contain a description of the events that took place during the ceremony. The final page has a black and white image of the memorial that was created in their honor.

Letter from a soldier named Don King to Captain Charles R. Griggs concerning his status in his current company as first sergeant but will probably be moved back once a new man is assigned. King tells Griggs that he wants him to spend time with him and his wife after the war is over and that he really would like to see him and talk to him in person.

Farris, 38101293 is authorized by proper authority to wear the following..." On the left side of the fold there is a list of the medals he won and how he earned them.

War Ration Book One with a certificate of ownership on the left side of the fold, Frank and Lou Wyatt being the owners of the book. On the back of the fold there is a "Certificate of Registrar" with Frank Wyatt's information including height, address, age, etc.
