In regards to a letter that Bill McCarter and Jack Davis wrote to Russ Chapman, Principal of Lakewood Elementary School, to congratulate Chapman on being selected by the Getty Institute to attend a National Administrators Focus Group Conference. Reynolds informs Ruff that Chapman will give presentations on two different days about the importance of arts in education, June 8th and June 14th.

Reynolds writes that Jack Davis, Bill McCarter and herself have worked with Ollie Theisen to present a teacher workshop in conjunction with Bigger's exhibit in Mount Pleasant and she is working with others to produce an education video for the students and are requesting Biggers permission to use some of his images in the video. Enclosed in the letter to Biggers, Reynolds has included some material that provides more information about their project and the Institute.

Art directors, associates and educators are constantly concerned with the theme of relevance and have thought of new ways to stay relevant in the community. What they are looking towards to reviving the interested in art and art culture is education in the public system teaching the important of art.
