This original newspaper clipping was pasted once pasted into a scrapbook. The obituary contains a summary of the life and death of W. C. Wright, an early settler in Denton, Texas. W. C. Wright died at the age of 70 after having lived under three flags, having served in the Texas Cavalry during the Civil War, and having served in a local militia. Wright became a wealthy farmer and trader and built and operated the Wright's Opera House. He was survived by his wife, Julia A. Gober Williams, and seven children including Mrs. Effie Fay Branche Wright Williams. William Crow Wright died May 16, 1906.

The program for the Ninth Annual Reception of the Alumni Association at Denton High School on May 20, 1915, at Elks Hall contains an order of addresses, a list of toasts, and the lyrics to "Auld Lang Syne." The program was printed on cream paper with a watermark that says, "Dresden Paper," which meant it was produced by the Dresden Paper Mills Co. out of Dresden, Maine.

Program for the Fifteenth Annual Commencement of the Denton High School at Wright's Opera House on Friday, May 18, 1900 contains an order of services, and a list of the Board of Trustees.

Letter to the Record-Chronicle newspaper in Denton, Texas from the Library Extension Committee of the Denton County Council of Parents and Teachers. The letter contains information about a traveling library that was created to provide books to rural schools.

This program lists the closing exercises and performances during the closing exercises of Denton City High School on May 18, 1894. It is printed in blue ink on creme paper. A partially visible watermark says, "Monona Linen F-". We presume the "F" stands for Fabric. Monona Linen Fabric paper was sold and produced at that time.

This Denton business review was published as a guide for the farmers and residents of Denton county outside of the city. The directory includes descriptions of Denton's agricultural resources, commercial advantages, and business institutions.
