Cratty to George Pendexter with a photograph of a horse-drawn fire department vehicle going down a street in Galesburg, Illinois for the Decoration Day Parade (now Memorial Day) on May 30, 1912. There is a large crowd of people lining the street on both sides, as other vehicles pass by in the background. There is a note on the photo that says "St. Louis, MO has great collection of cards."

Postcard of Bridgeport Fire Department No. 3's station, a two-story brick building featuring garages at its base and a bell on its roof. The fire fighters are dressed in black uniforms and hats, and are aboard three horse-drawn vehicles. One fire fighter is standing in front of the leftmost vehicle, with a dog on his right. The back of the postcard has a handwritten message that says, "Many thanks, pretty card, call again."

Postcard with a photograph of the "New Yorker" in action in he water along the coast; the boat is firing all of its water cannons on the right and left. The text on the back of the card says "We have 9 more like this one. (This is the first fire boat built for the dept in Engine Co. #57."

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter with a photograph of "Auto Engine No. 1" of the Battle Creek Fire Department testing its pump. There is a note on the back of the card describing the location of the truck in the photograph; there is a large group of people standing around the engine during the test.

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter with a newspaper clipping glued to the correspondence section of the card. The clipping describes the technical features of the new "Chemical and hose Motor Car" which has a capacity of "700 gallons of water a minute." Johnston mentions L. D. Smith and a fire on March 25, 1925; Smith is possibly the fireman in the photograph on the reverse side seen going up a ladder into a smoking building.

Photograph of a building on the campus of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (now Texas A&M University) having been badly damaged by a fire. Only the framework is left standing as most of the inside of the building has been totally destroyed; there are also a large number of men standing in formation to the right of the building.

Postcard from Clarence W. Conor to George Pendexter regarding different collections of photographs. The photograph on the backside of the card shows a view of a fireman sitting in an old fire engine belonging to the Stratford Fire Department in Stratford, Connecticut. This vehicle has a ladder attached to its side, a basket with a water hose on top, and an alarm bell on the far back.

Postcard of a woman holding a large axe over her shoulder with the words, "If you don't soon come to Texarkana I'll come after you with an axe." The letter on the back of the postcard is illegible. The postcard is addressed to "Miss Mamie McFaddin Gunston Hall Washington D. C."

Postcard of a red five story building with a horse drawn cart in an empty lot beside. The message on the back reads, "Howdy Fady, Guess you will be coming home soon. Sure wish I was going to be here when you come back but I leave this p.m. for Dallas, Tex. "Hutch" 4276 Jefferson." The postcard is addressed to "Miss Mamie McFaddin Washington D. C. 1906 Florida Ave."
