Black and white halftone postcard showing the high school building in Marshall, Texas. The view shows the facade of the two-story brick building. Stairs lead to entrance doors on either side of a projecting hipped roof central section with a tower on top of the roof. Printed in the border to the right of the image is the title, "High School, Marshall, Tex." and "Published by Mathewson Drug Co." Printed on the lower left corner of the message sections is the Curt Teich Co. logo of the intertwined letters "C," "T," and "Co." with "Chicago" underneath The postmark on the back is dated 5/1/1907, and the card is adressed to Mr. Linn Georgia, Waverly, N.Y.

Methodist Church, Marshall, Texas
Black and white postcard of the First United Methodist Church, located at 300 East Houston St., in Marshall, Texas, photographed in the early 1920s. The building was constructed in 1861. It is a front-gable brick-masonry structure in a Greek revival style with a bell tower and steeple on the peak of the front gable. Three sets of steps ascend to the entrance porch, which has four tapered square brick columns surmounted by a pediment. The view shows the facade and the right side of the building with its raised basement windows visible. At the top of the image, printed in red is the title, "Methodist Church, Marshall, Texas." Printed on the right side of the i mage in red: "Fry Hodge Drug Co., Marshall, Texas." There is a postmark dated May 14, 1923 on the back. The card was addressed to Miss Sallie Woodrome, Yoakum, Texas.

Postcard of George O'Brien Millard School with students in front of it. On the right side of the postcard can be seen a statue of George O'Brien Millard and a playground. The George O'Brien Millard School was a public elementary school in Beaumont started about 1910 and sometimes known as just Millard School. George O'Brien Millard was a prominent Beaumont citizen who helped develop the public school system in Beaumont. Printed on the top left of the postcard is "Geo. B. Millard School, Beaumont, Texas." Handwritten on the back of the postcard, "All O.K. Weather perfectly grand and things are lovely. I return to E.T June 12. Wouldn't you like to see me? Love to Aunt Lizzie & all. Hazel." The card is addressed to Mr. James Mortin, Cochituate, Mass.
