The letter mostly talks about the death of their grandfather who died suddenly, Mr. Griggs had been away in Big Spring as it happened. The rest of the letter talks about the grandfather's dislike for smoking and drinking; finally Mrs. Griggs says that they pray for her son's safety as well as the rest of the boys.

The pages are all stamped in red with the text "Confirmation of Phone Order." The letter is dated April 1988, but it is in an envelope postmarked February 1986, addressed to the S. D. Myres Saddle Co. in Massachusetts.

Letter from W. J. Myres to Mose Newman expressing his delight that Newman's health was doing better and that they belts that Newman ordered to have shortened were finished. Myres explains that the belt shortening was free of charge due to the fact that the job was so small.

These notes are typed and discuss the interactions during the meeting, declarations made by Mr. Troquet, and amounts of food needed in kilograms. The notes at the end discuss the financial situations in each of the communities nearby.
