Clay describes his time working in aviation on the flight deck of ships and the many countries he visited while in the service, such as Brazil, Spain, and Cuba.

Interview with Leopoldo Chapa, a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in the Vietnam War from Baytown, Texas. Chapa describes his time in boot camp, what he experienced while in combat, and his opinions on war in general.

Interview with Pete Craig, a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II from Houston, Texas. Craig describes his time as a Private 1st Class in the Infantry, as well as his experiences in basic training and the places he visited throughout the United States. Included at the end of the transcript is a written summarization by the interviewer, Colby Burmaster, which was provided with the two audiotapes of the interview.

Interview with Burton Alvin Fowler, Jr., a Sergeant in the united States Army during the Vietnam War. Fowler answers questions and elaborates about his experiences during training prior to being sent to Vietnam as well as memories he has of fighting the war and the opinions he brought back with him.

Interview with Joe Dreyer, Jr., a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War, originally from Baytown, Texas. He answers questions and elaborates on his experiences in boot camp, where he was stationed, what his jobs were, etc.; also covered are his thoughts on the war going on in Afghanistan.

Interview with Robert E. Davis, a radio operator/communications specialist for the United States Air Force in the Vietnam War. He answers questions about and describes life as a soldier in Vietnam.

Interview with E. H. Hartleib, a gunner's mate technician who served on the USS Bonhomme Richard during the Vietnam War. Hartleib answers questions regarding his time in the service, including his clearance to work with nuclear weapons. He also elaborates on his training, his duties in the military, what he thought of the war, etc.

He notes his relationships that he kept up while he was away and the duties he maintained in the Army.

Interview with Elsie McCagg, a mechanic for the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He explains why he joined the army and answers questions about his experience abroad.

Interview with Garland Huey, a United States Navy veteran of World War II originally from Baytown, Texas. Huey answers questions about how he entered the Navy and his initial experiences; he tells a lengthy story of most of his time aboard ship, including one instance where one of the main guns got jammed.

Interview with Wally Fowler, a pilot in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, retired in 1978. Fowler begins by giving an overview of his career in the Air Force and what he is currently doing, as well as going into detail about his experiences and duties while in Vietnam.

Interview with Usan Fannett, a United States Marine during World War II who served in the Pacific theater. Fannett talks about the places that he was sent including the Aleutians, Saipan, Tarawa, Iwo Jima, etc. and the fighting that took place. Towards the end of the interview Fannett talks about what they did in order to get rid of the aircraft.

Interview with Louis Belk, a B-17 Waist Gunner who served with the U.S. Army Air Corps (Air Force) in World War II from San Antonio, Texas. Belk describes his time training in Texas and experiences serving in England. He also talks about what it was like returning home to the United States from the war.

Interview with Bert Van Natter, a communications specialist in the Air Force. He answers questions about his life prior to joining the military and what life was like during WWII.

Interview with B. L. Henderson, a United States Marine veteran of the Korean War. Henderson answers questions concerning his service time as well as recounts certain operations and movements of he and his fellow Marines during his time in Korea. He tells about their rations, retreating procedures, and weaponry used.

Interview with Douglas Wallace Jr., a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Air Force. He describes being drafted, training, and his adjustment back to civilian life.
