Garcia a Democratic publication in the Dallas area called The White Rocker and the need for pro-Democratic writings and Spanish-language publications. Yarborough asks Garcia to explore possibilities for such in the Corpus Christi area, Nueces County, or other areas of Texas. The letter was also sent to some other publishers of Spanish-language newspapers in the state.

Letter to Mary E. Vega of Kansas City, Missouri, from Luciano Santoscoy April 30, 1955. Santoscoy thanks Vega for her interest in starting a council in the state of Missouri. Santoscoy informs Vega of the fee each month per member, $.50 a member per month. Santoscoy also lets Vega know that he will be sending more information and a copy of the LULAC News publication.

Letter from Roderick J. Watts of the Houston Chronicle to John J. Herrera, dated April 23, 1955 on Houston Chronicle letterhead. The body of the letter reads: "Here are some pictures taken at the San Jacinto Day exercises. I thought you might like to have them. Enjoyed seeing you and your fine little son."

Letter to John J. Herrera from A.L. Wirin, informing Herrera that Wirin has undertaken a number of Civil Liberties cases for the Alianza Hispano Americana, which has opened a Civil Liberties Department. Wirin suggests that The Alianza might be willing to undertake some housing segregation cases, and also cases of segregation of Mexican prisoners in or near Houston.
