Dr. Newland, former director of the LBJ Library, was Executive Director of the Federal Executive Institute. Mr. Jobe had been Assistant for Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, and was a managing partner of Alexander Grand & Co.

As chairman of the Alumni Association Century Club, he spoke of the new fund-raising group to the gathering, and then in front of the assembled alumni asked President Nolen if he would like to be the first member. President Nolen agreed, and gave Martin a check. Seated at right is June Gregg Nolen.
