Patent for "an attractive sign, which by reason of its revolutions will receive notice from the general public and illustrate business cards or signs, and furthermore to operate the same by and in conjunction with a fan, such as is commonly used in public places." Patent for an apparatus for operating churns, ice cream freezers, or the like, and is meant "to produce an apparatus in which there is simultaneously given to the vessel a revolving motion and a revolving or vibrating motion to the agitator working in the vessel" (lines 14-18).

Patent for a banker's daily-balance index meant to "promote the speed and accuracy of book-keepers in keeping the personal daily balance ledger in banking and other like business" (lines 9-12). The patent is for a piece of paper divided with ink into strips on the front and back.

Patent for a car-coupling that provides "a link of this character which will remain set in a coupling position at all times, so that the coupling of the cars can be effected in an automatic manner" (lines 10-14). It can be easily adjusted to different heights and its construction prevents jerky movements.

Patent for an improved coin assorter and deliverer that automatically makes change. It has a glass window in the back and a slot in the top where an operator can insert coins, where the machine sorts them.

Patent for "a device especially adapted for placing torpedoes on railroad tracks and at the same time fixing the torpedo in position, the work being accomplished in a simple and expeditious manner while the train is in motion, whereby one train following another may be signaled without stopping the first train, thus preventing rear end collisions." Patent for a dilator meant to enlarge the urethral and other canals of the human body. It is meant of "elastic material and capable of distention, or dilation, under the pressure of air, water, or other fluid introduced and to combine with said dilator means whereby its uniform enlargement under internal pressure shall take place without increase of length, thereby avoiding the objection common to all, rubber and similar structures heretofore, that interior pressure produced elongation at the expense of increase in diameter, while any inequality of strength, or thickness, caused unequal expansion" (lines 13-24).

Patent for an earth-auger that is more effective than other augers and can be constructed to make different sized holes. It is operated by moving two blades back and forth.

Patent for an "exercising device for teaching beginners the correct touch on the piano to systematically develop finger [technique]." (Lines 9-11) Includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a fence-post for wire fences and allows for the wires to be removed once secured. This invention allows for the fenced-in area to be changed and adjusted.

Patent for a simple, durable, and effective furnace that uses fuel economically and does not release smoke and gases besides out of the chimney. The furnace has a suction fan that draws the gases into the chimney.

Patent for a garbage-furnace that relates to a patent that was previously granted to the inventor (No. 448,115). This invention provides "a new and improved garbage furnace, which is comparatively simple and durable in construction, and very effective for burning all kinds of dry and wet garbage, kitchen refuse, animal matter, excrements, &c. (lines 12-16).

Patent for gearing for windmills that "is more particularly designed to provide an improved construction of gearing by which the movement of the wind wheel is transmitted to the pump rod, whereby [the inventor] secures superior advantages with respect to efficiency in use" (lines 14-19).

Patent for a hay-rack meant to "provide an improved device for holding or clamping hay within reach of livestock, and which while not impairing the feeding of the stock will prevent them from pulling the hay down beneath their feet" (lines 14-19).

Patent for an improvement on a revolving hay-rake that is simple, economic, and easily manipulated. It can move backwards as well as forward, and the teeth can turn freely. The ground pressure of the teeth can be adjusted.

Patent for a hose or pipe coupling meant to "provide a coupling of great simplicity of construction forming a tight and efficient connection by which the hose can be connected without turning it, without the screwing together of the sections and without a loose washer within one of the couplings which is readily lost and quickly gets out of order" (lines 12-19).

Patent for an instrument for dividing angles into equal parts and is meant to be used with a beam compass. The "invention consists in a member having a point adapted to be placed at the point of the angle to be divided, and having movable thereon a beam extending horizontally and having at one end a transverse head projecting from each side of the beam and carrying at one end an indicating point and at the other end a marking pencil" (lines 22-29).

Patent for "ironing-tables which are arranged to be capable of folding when not in use and of extending when used." (Lines 8-11) Includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a metallic roof that has "an improved means for securing the adjoining edges of the metallic strips together, whereby a tight water proof joint is produced and the metal strips securely attached to the sheathing of the roof" (lines 15-20).

Patent for a method of and apparatus for protecting electric circuits from unauthorized use. The inventor uses the arrangement of circuits described in an expired patent (No. 110,362).
