Those who have not signed only desire small amounts of money for their land. Irvin states that he believes Abilene will not get the central road on this railway and their people have little faith in that changing. Irvin states in postscript that he knows of a small ranch for Sayles' son to buy and make money on.

Contract between Paul Dillahunty and Mac Sayles in which both men agree to sell the other their respective tracts of land in El Paso County, Texas after Dillahunty's fulfilled the legal requirement to live on his lands.
