Whitehead expresses her appreciation to Carswell for taking care of the payment of the income tax, advises of checks that have been enclosed and asks for the amount owed for his income tax services. Navarro, Jr., the Managing Attorney of the Neighborhood Law Office of the Houston Legal Foundation, taking responsibility for several disputed accounts which were not added to the Foundation's books. Gandara formally swears to pay $50 per month until the total of the disputed balance is paid off.

A letter written to "Aun't Virginia" [Byrdie Carswell] and "Uncle Norwood" [T. N. Carswell] from Tom & Virginia, Tampa, Florida, dated April 8, 1969. Tom and Virginia offer their greetings to the Carswells, ask after their health and note that they do not hear from anyone at the old home place in Georgia.
