Patent for a new and improved mill for coffee and spices. This design "consists in constructing a coffee and spice mill with a hopper having arms for attaching the mill to a wall and for supporting the gear-wheel formed upon it, an inner cone-burr formed solid with the hopper, an outer shell-burr suspended from and swiveled to the inner burr by a cross-bar, rod, and hand-nut, and the gear-wheels and crank for rotating the outer-burr" (lines 22-30).

Patent for a new and improved churn. This design "provide[s] a cheap, durable, and easily-operated motor for dash-churns, and one the length of stroke of which can be varied to suit the size of the churn and the quality of the cream to be churned. [The] invention consists of a dash-lever, connecting-rod, crank and pulley shaft, and large drive-wheel, the dash-lever being made adjustable as to its length of stroke" (lines 7-15).

Patent for a new and improved wagon jack. This design "relates to wagon-jacks, the object being to provide a jack of simple and economical construction which will be applicable alike to light and heavy vehicles. The invention consists in [an] improved construction" (lines 9-14).

Patent for a new and improved baling press. This design "consists in the combination, with the follower, the right-and-left-screw, and nuts, of the hinged levers and the bars swiveled thereto; also, in the combination . . . of the slotted bars, the hinged socket, and the swiveled arms; also, in the combination, with the nuts having shoulders and the hinged levers having forked up ends, of the anti-friction rollers journaled in recesses in the said nuts; also . . . of the curved and flattened swiveled arms, whereby the lower ends of the said follower-bars can have a lateral movement" (lines 23-38).

Patent for a new and improved safe. This design "[has a] top projecting beyond its sides . . . in combination with the upright posts having liquid-cups, the rods, and sleeves for suspending the safe from contact with any object" (lines 79-83).

Patent for a new and improved printer's galley. This design consists of a novel arrangement of the galley parts that "dispenses with the time, labor, and expense incurred in manipulating quoins and side-sticks, mallet, shooting-stick, &c." (lines 60-62).

Patent for a new and improved hand-car. This design has "such construction and arrangement of the cranks and levers of hand-cars that the maximum amount of the power exerted upon the levers by the operators will be applied to the propulsion of the car" (lines 7-12).

Patent for a new and improved baling press. This design "is to promote convenience in operating baling-presses and increase the efficiency of said presses. The invention consists in a novel construction and arrangement of parts" (lines 16-20).

Patent for a mixture for an eye-water; ingredients, proportions of the ingredients and instructions on how to prepare the mixture are included. No illustration.

Patent for a new and improved cotton stalk and weed cutter. This design calls for "[a]n interchangeable cotton-stalk cutter and sulky plow . . . adapted to receive a plow at its rear end" (lines 67-70). The cutting blades can be raised and lowered as needed.
