Patent for a new and improved mosquito netting frame. This design "consists of a mosquito-netting frame formed of two longitudinal rods removably fastened to uprights attached to the bedposts, and held by cords or wires passing from the outer ends of each of said longitudinal rods to the top of each upright. A transverse rod or bar is removably attached to the outer ends of said longitudinal bars or rods. . . . [The design] is simple in construction, light, durable, and convenient" (lines 9-18).

Patent for a new and improved frame for mosquito canopies. This design consists in "the combination, with the fixed standards and the forwardly-projecting bearings, of the braces pivoted to [the] bearings and united by cross-bar, the short arms pivoted to the upper ends of the fixed standards, and parallel side-bars connected by cross-bars to form a rectangular frame to support the canopy or curtain and pivoted intermediate, respectively, in the outer ends of the short arms and brace" (lines 22-31).

Patent for improvements to rein buckles allowing them to be attached to a trace-chain, which will adapt them for use with plows and harnesses. Includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a device aimed to provide a pair of plates, one disposed adjacent each severed end of a felly of a wheel, and provided with a right and left threaded member having threaded connections with said plates, so that they may be separated, for expanding the felly tight against the tire.

Patent for a new and improved rack for spools of rope. This design "consists in a particular construction of frame adapted for supporting spools of different lengths, as well as an improved construction of spool for expanding and holding the coil of rope in the center of the reel while being used, and improved hangers for the wheels, whereby the latter may be arranged within the frame to accommodate the different sizes of coils now manufactured" (lines 14-23).

Patent for a rotary engine, which prevents steam leakage.

Patent for improvements in air-break systems where the angle-cock may be operated by the breakeman from either side of the car without going between the cars. (Lines 15-18) Illustration is included.

Patent for a new and improved hand-car. This design has "such construction and arrangement of the cranks and levers of hand-cars that the maximum amount of the power exerted upon the levers by the operators will be applied to the propulsion of the car" (lines 7-12).

Patent for a specialized railroad joint that has a "novel combination of a T-shaped splice rail" (lines 12-13) in combination with other parts, "connected with downwardly-curved truss-bolts passing through the vertical member of the splice-rail in such matter as to hold all of the parts firmly together..." (lines 19-23).

Patent for a cultivator with adjustable teeth positions to allow for variation in distance between rows or different types of crops.

Patent for a marking-tag that is clamped around the edge of the merchandise that is being labeled. This tag is secure at its four corners "so as to obviate curling of the corners and to protect the ends of the fastener employed for securing the tag to the goods, whereby scratching of the hands and injurious contact of the points of the said fastener with the goods or merchandise are wholly obviated" (lines 12-18).
