The city park commission was scheduled Thursday to approve plans for a new picnic building at Woodson Park. R. R. Pat Murphy, park superintendent, said construction of the building, from salvaged materials, is to began in May and should be completed by August. He said the structure is part of a two-stage plan for the park. Construction of a year-round recreation center and gym will get underway when funds are available, Murphy said. Long-range plans for the park, dependent on financing, include a swimming pool and other work, Murphy said.......The 160-acre Woodson Park is between SW 29 and 36 from May to Indepedence. Lee Welch, Antlers attorney, testified Thursday. Welch, brother of Supreme Court Justice Earl Welch, told a house committee investigating the supreme court that he paid Angelly all of the money due him in a 15-month period from February 1957 to May 1958. However, Welch testified he has been unable to find all of the cancelled checks and receipts for the money he said he paid Angelly. Angelly has testified before the committee that he recieved no more than $20,000 of the $59,000 due him."
