Interview with Allen Stafford, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran from Kiowa County, Oklahoma, who served with the 124th Cavalry Regiment. Stafford discusses his early life, working in Texas oil fields, enlisting and training, deployment to the China-Burma-India Theater and reorganization as an infantry unit, combat operations with the Japanese around the Burma Road, and returning to the United States.

Interview with electrical engineer and Army veteran Alton O. Crawley. The interview includes Crawley's personal experiences about the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II, having pre-war civilian jobs in radio/communications work, training for Office of Strategic Services operations, being assigned to Wudu, China, coast watching activities and radio transmissions, and various miscellaneous accounts of his tour of duty in China. The interview includes an appendix with various letters accompanied by a list detailing them, and an itinerary for per diem claims.

Interview with graphic designer, business owner, and beauty pageant winner Armaiti Shahidi Fitzgerald, Iranian-born immigrant to Plano, Texas, as part of the DFW Metroplex Immigrants Oral History Project. The interview includes Fitzgerald's personal experiences of childhood and home life in Tehran, Iran, attending Al Zahra University in Tehran, coming to America as a young bride, attending the University of North Texas and finding a career as a fine artist in Dallas. Fitzgerald talks about serving as Mrs. International 2009 and establishing the Fight Oral Cancer Foundation. The interview includes photographs and articles about Fitzgerald.

Interview with Arwin Bowden, a marine during World War II. He begins by discussing his training in San Diego and New Zealand before the Battle of Tarawa. He describes being wounded in the battle, the casualties he saw, and being shipped back to Pearl Harbor for treatment before joining the battle of Saipan. He describes ancedotes about Japanese killing themselves rather than surrendering, eating food from a garden watered from rainwater running down from outhouses, the wages he made, and the time he had leave.

Interview with Billy Allen, a Marine WWII veteran and POW from Van Alstyne, Texas. Allen discusses his entry into the Marine Corps, deployment to Shanghai with the China Marines in 1940-41, arrival in the Philippines, the Japanese attack on Mariveles Navy Yard, the retreat to Corregidor, capture by the Japanese, and experiences in internment at Bilibid Prison in Manila, Cabanatuan, Osaka, and Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture.

Interview with Ada Reed and Bob Brewer, owners and operators of A. B. McGill and Company General Merchants. In the interview, the Brewers discuss their family backgrounds, marriage, losses on charge accounts during the Great Depression, the change from clerk-service to self-service operation of the store, the credit business, purchasing clothes at the Dallas fashion market, customer interests, changes in product lines, commercial and residential growth in the Bertram area, using direct mail and radio advertising, their involvement with the Texas Retail Association, factors in developing a successful business, and civic activities. The interview includes an appendix with a flyer, photographs, articles, and letters.

Interview with Bob Glenn, longtime resident of Weatherford, Texas, as part of the Weatherford Oral History Project. The interview includes Glenn's personal experiences of childhood and education in Weatherford, his 1961 enlistment in the U.S. Army, service at various stateside bases, and his career in the banking industry. Glenn also discusses changes in the Weatherford economy.

Interview with Brenda Sanders-Wise, a former student of I. M. Terrell High School from Fort Worth, Texas. Sanders-Wise discusses her average daily routine at the school, integration, her family history, Juneteenth and black culture in Fort Worth, church life, experiences of segregation and discrimination, and contemporary racism. In appendix is a photo of a public art installation commemorating black railroad employees at the TRE Station in Fort Worth.

Interview with Burlyce Logan, one of the first African American students at North Texas, and UNT alumna whose college education began in 1956 and concluded in 2011. She recalls her childhood and education in Dallas and New York City; love of piano and musical education; decision to become one of the first African American students at North Texas; experiences as a college student, including racist incidents on campus, and as a boarder in Southeast Denton; decision to drop out in 1958; marriage to Raymond Logan, move to California, and return to Denton; decision to return to UNT as a student in 2005 and experiences on campus in the 21st century; 2011 graduation.

Interview with Carl Peltier, a U. S Marine during World War II. He begins by discussing his reaction to the attack on Pearl Harbor. He then joined the Marines when he was old enough. He trained in San Diego before shipping out to Hawaii where he joined the 2nd Marine Division. Further training included heavy weapons and mortars. Later, he landed on Saipan and describes his small arms and rations. He witnessed General Simon Buckner getting killed on Okinawa. He was later wounded on Okinawa. After the war ended, Peltier served in the Pentagon during the Korean War.

Interview with Carlton J. Killgo, a Army Air Corps WWII veteran and POW from Slocum, Texas, who was shot down and captured by German forces. Killgo discusses enlisting in the Air Corps before the war, training and becoming a B-17 crewmember, deployment to England, his missions, getting shot down, capture by German civilians, transfer to Stalag Luft #4, experiences in internment there, liberation by the Soviet Army, and return to the United States.

Interview with Carolyn Barta,a journalist and professor in Dallas, Texas. The interview includes biographical information about her educational background and her career writing for The Dallas Morning News about features and covering political campaigns.

Interview with Cece Cox, Executive Director of Resource Center of Dallas and longtime activist in the LGBT community. The interview includes Cox's personal experiences of childhood in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, her college years at Northwestern University, and coming out the family, friends, and co-workers. Cox talks about the awareness of her sexual orientation, the supportive reactions of family, her decision to move to Dallas, Texas for a job, her involvement in the Dallas LGBT community, thoughts on Texas Penal Code 21.06-the Sodomy Law, the struggle for gay men to receive AIDS treatment at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas Gay Alliance's activism in AIDS treatment and care as well as in the struggle for equal treatment and human rights. Additionally, Cox talks about her impressions of Don Baker, Judge Jerry Buchmeyer and his decision to overturn penal code 21.06, changes in Dallas's LGBT community, family life, and Resource Center Dallas's history and services. Interview with Charles "Chuck" Beatty, African-American alumnus of North Texas State University. The interview includes Beatty's personal experiences of childhood and education, accepting an athletic scholarship to North Texas, playing football at North Texas and with the Pittsburgh Steelers and other professional teams, being in the National Guard during the Vietnam era, and returning to North Texas to earn a degree following his professional football career. Additionally, Beatty speaks of social life among African-American students and relations with white students and faculty, his experiences as an elected official in Waxahachie and as a member of the UNT Board of Regents, and his perceptions of change at North Texas over time.

Interview with Charles E. Smith, community leader and longtime resident of the Hamilton Park neighborhood, from Dallas, Texas. Smith discusses his role in the Hamilton Park Civic League, of which he was president in 1973, the Hamilton Park School, its closure, integration and its effects in Richardson ISD, and the Pacesetter program.

Interview with Charlie Rodriguez, businessman and musician, concerning his recollections concerning the development of the Northside (Fort Worth, Texas) Hispanic community, his music career, and the evolution of his family's Mexican foods business.

Interview with Clarence Broadnax, a business owner and civil rights activist from Karnack, Texas. Broadnax discusses direct action challenging segregation at Dallas-area businesses, the unification of the Dallas civil rights movement, being jailed, civil rights figures, the Dallas Committee, segregation at sports games, becoming the first black hair stylist in the area, the Kennedy assassination, Barack Obama, nightlife and recreation in Karnack and Dallas, the Civil Rights Act, Dallas as a community, and reflections on his experiences.

Interview with Cleon Stewart, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran and POW from Tulia, Texas, who served and was captured with the 2nd Battalion, 131st Field Artillery (known as the "Lost Battalion"). Stewart discusses joining the National Guard, training and the Louisiana Maneuvers, deployment to the Pacific in November, 1941, diversion to Java after December 7th, Japanese air strikes and the invasion, the American surrender and initial internement by the Japanese, experiences in internment at Bicycle Camp in Batavia, transfer to Changi Camp, Singapore, and life in captivity there, and liberation.

Interview with Dana Lodge, an employee of the Denton Conventions and Visitors Bureau from Dallas, Texas. Lodge discusses growing up, her education, her work in the restaurant industry, entering the hospitality industry and her work with the Bureau, festivals and events in Denton, local history, and plans for the future of Denton. In appendix are pictures of the Denton County Courthouse and the Confederate Soldiers memorial. Includes an appendix.

Interview with Dennis Dunkins, African-American alumnus of North Texas State University. The interview includes Dunkins' personal experiences of childhood and education, enrolling in North Texas, majoring in Industrial Technology and his graduation in 1963, having a career with General Motors, as a business owner, and with Fort Worth ISD. Additionally, Dunkins speaks about off-campus life in "Shack Town" and support from black citizens of Denton, social life among African-American students and relations with white students and faculty, efforts to desegregate public facilities in Denton, and his summer jobs with Texas & Pacific Railroad Company.
