He also discusses the arrival of 88 colonists on the Alberdena and the upcoming arrival of the Cronstadt with 110 passengers. He instructs Huth to immediately head to Corpus Christi to meet the convoy. In closing, he informs him of his plan to leave on April 5th for probably arrival in mid June. Signed H. Continuation of letter from [Ferdinand Louis Huth] to H[enri] Castro explaining that he is ill and has no time to convalesce because of his duties. In this letter he discusses the rising price of corn, dissent among some of the colonists, his lack of appropriate housing, a theft, the murder of a colonist name Wolf, his relationship with his father and distribution of land, among other topics. Letter from sister Marie to [Ferdinand] Louis [Huth] letting him know how pleased they are to get his letters and wish that he could be there. She also mentions that Germany is trying to unite Protestant and Catholic churches. Signed Marie on December 9, 1845. With letter from Caroline Huth to [Ferdinand] Louis [Huth] asking him about his home and whether he has received the household linens and garden seeds. She also asks him to send potato sprouts.
