Blanche explains that she has been in the hospital unexpectedly and that Dr. Seth Cox will operate on her jaw meaning she will be off work four or five weeks. She apologizes and offers options of payment on her contract with Carswell.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from E. M. Collier, Administrator, Hendrick Memorial Hospital dated March 24, 1956. Notification by Collier of a meeting of the Board of Trustees of Hendrick Memorial Hospital. An agenda is outlined including Dr. V. H. Shoultz to report on the radio isotope laboratory and the colbalt unit desired at Hendrick.

A letter written to Senator Price Daniel, from T. N. Carswell, dated March 15, 1956. Carswell compliments an address made by Daniel and the solution he offered to the Texas situation. He encourages Daniel to run for governor promising his support and efforts in Taylor county and the surrounding area. Carswell advises Daniel that Texas needs him in Texas for the next few years.

A postcard addressed to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from Hoyle Legg, Caddo, Texas, postmarked Breckenridge, Rexas, March 19, 1956. The reverse side includes correspondence to Mr. Carswell from Hoyle Legg dated March 19, 1956. Legg expresses his disappointment that he wasn't home when Carswell visited advising that he was at the lake fishing and invites Carswell to return and spend a day fishing.

Johnson announces the formation of the firm Dewey, King & Johnson assuring Carswell that he will continue to watch his investments as he has done in the past.

Screening of the Roster of Officers assigned to the Reserve Pool of the Texas State Guard Reserve Corps. The reverse side includes a letter written to Col. Greer from T. N. Carswell dated March 16, 1956. Carswell requests that his membership be continued as long as there be a possiblity of being of service by remaining a member of the Texas State Guard Reserve Corps.
