Second volume of a report documenting a high-sensitivity airborne radiometric and magnetic survey of the Ogden and Salt Lake City quadrangles including results of data interpretation, significance factor profile maps, stacked profiles, and histograms.

This report follows a 12-hole drilling program that was conducted on the northwestern flank of the San Rafael swell of eastern Utah.

Research will be done on the reverse-forward combustion and steam injection for the in-situ recovery of oil from tar sands. This environmental survey will serve as a guideline for the consideration of environmental consequences of such research. It covers the construction phase, operational phase, description of the environment, potential impacts and mitigations, coordination, and alternatives. (DLC)

Results obtained from a program designed to locate a low- or moderate-temperature geothermal resource that might exist beneath Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Ogden, Utah are discussed. A phased exploration program was conducted at Hill AFB. Published geological, geochemical, and geophysical reports on the area were examined, regional exploration was conducted, and two thermal gradient holes were drilled. This program demonstrated that thermal waters are not present in the shallow subsurface at this site. (MHR)
