Humphrey acknowledges his receipt of the letter from Carswell and stresses that he wished more people would let him know their wishes and view points about pending legislation. He discusses the redistricting of the state noting the fine work Harley Sadler did along that line advising of the unlikely event of a constitutional convention then discourses on rewriting only the portions of the constitution which are largely statutory.

Letter from Rabbi Newton J. Friedman to I. H. Kempner discussing Brachman's offer to donate $1000.00. He states that he does not believe that any of the men would desire publicity for their donations. However, he thinks that there should be a $1000.00 club when the number of needed donations is reached. He states that he would still like to celebrate the donors in some way.
