Caption: "Firemen fought a spectacular battle for almost an hour Wednesday night before bring the fire under control on the eighth floor of American National Building at Main and Robinson. Damage was estimated at $10,000 and several firemen were overcome by smoke. The two-alarm blaze broke out about 9:15 p.m. in a chiropractic clinic operated by A. B. McNatt. Firemen were able to contain the flames to the clinic but more than 20 other offices on the floor including Oklahoma Bar association office quarters suffered heat and smoke damage. Exact cause of the blaze was undetermined. Fire Chief G. H. McAlpine, who made the $10,000 damage estimate, said an investigation couldn't be made until the debris had been cleared away......Several firemen were overcome briefly by smoke while fighting the blaze. One, Floyd Cleveland of No. 1 station, was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment."
