In discussion of an upcoming class trip from Plano students to the DMA for a video session. Reynolds writes that the expected trip will take place on March 31, at 10:00 am with a second grade class from Christie Elementary in Plano. The children will first view a video in the school taught by the classroom teacher and art specialist before the museum experience. The two video sessions will be part of a joint Texas/Nebraska teleworkshop that will be broadcast to 19 states on October 7 and 21.

A letter from Harold M. Williams, President and CEO of the J. Paul Getty Trust, to Secretary Lamar Alexander, United States Department of Education. The letter is in regards to Williams participating in Alexander's meeting with Los Angeles arts and education leaders to discuss the actions which the Department can take to acknowledge the role of arts education in national education reform. Williams has attached an enclosed statement that identifies several of the Center's national projects.

A letter from R. William McCarter, Co-Director, North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, to Elliot Eisner, Professor of Education and Art, Sandford University. McCarter talks about the success Texas schools had with implementing the eight concepts found in "Educating in a Multicultural World" in their art education. He list four of the most used concepts that have been used in curriculum throughout different disciplines. At the end of the document, he cc's Leilani Lattin Duke and Vicki Rosenberg.

A letter from Vicki Rosenberg, Program Officer for The Getty Center for Education in the Arts, to the members of the National Curriculum Working Group, including R. William McCarter, Co-director, North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. Rosenberg offers the group an honoraria of $1,000 to pay for travels, lodging and food expenses for upcoming meetings between the different unit Groups. Rosenburg offers a list of the Group participants to better facilitate communications.
