Benton discusses his pre-war embassy duty in Peking, North China with the 6th Marines, his capture in Peking, Wusong (Woosung) Prison Camp, Shanghai (1942-1945), Fengtai and Kiangwang (Kiangwan) Prison Camps (1945), Pusan, Korea (1945), Hakodate, Hokkaido (1945), and his liberation.
