The e-mail is in regards to McCarter talking with Sheila Brown the other day about the cost of the propose October D.L. activities. Brown has asked if the North Texas Institute could cover some of the uplink bill but McCarter responded that they were spending $5000 on a video and had no additional funding.

To discuss the teacher packet for the "Africa Explores" exhibit that Davitt has sent to Reynolds. As well as discuss the upcoming summer institute and other activities that Davitt will find informative. Enclosed in the letter is a schedule for the DMA summer institute that shows when the districts will be visiting the museum. The rest of the letter goes into details about how large the parties from each district will be and details about what the events should cover.

In discussion of an upcoming class trip from Plano students to the DMA for a video session. Reynolds writes that the expected trip will take place on March 31, at 10:00 am with a second grade class from Christie Elementary in Plano. The children will first view a video in the school taught by the classroom teacher and art specialist before the museum experience. The two video sessions will be part of a joint Texas/Nebraska teleworkshop that will be broadcast to 19 states on October 7 and 21.

The memo is in regards to the Directors' meeting in Santa Barbara. Leilani Lattin Duke mentioned the ASCD newsletter devoted to discipline-based theater education at the meeting and Rosenberg has a attached a copy of the issue.
