Grinnell.

Handwritten note on the back: "El Paso Texas Jan 18/1913 We saw this building. It is in Juarez, Mexico & was damaged during the war there last July 1912. The town was captured by the Mexican troops. It had been in the hands of the revolutionist for two years."

Postcard from Ella to Mrs. Gus Lindner, discussing how nice it is to talk to old friends. The front of the postcard features a photograph of Kronkosky Hill in Boerne, Texas. The hill has two wooden buildings buildings on the top and on the side, and a road winding along the side of it. The building on top of the hill is a small, one-story wooden building, while the building on the side is a wooden, two-story building with a small tower visible at the top. Large trees dot the hillside and surrounding area.

Postcard from Henry to Mr. Fritz Adler, discussing his father's illness. He says that his father is still weak, but the doctor says if he pulls through the next two days, he will be out of danger. The front of the postcard features an perspective view illustration of a long, wide road. There are wooded areas on either side of the road, and the roof of a house is just barely visible in the wooded area on the right side.

Postcard from Bertha Wessely to Clarence W. Nelson, discussing a trade between the two of them. The front of the postcard features an illustration of the old mill dam in Boerne, Texas. The area depicted is a dried out river bed, with stumps and wood laying with rocks in the bottom of the bed. In the background, there are trees and and a green grassy area.

Postcard of Hamilton Hotel in before the top floors were added and before the cyclone of 1906 that destroyed the balconies. On the back of the postcard there is a letter addressed to Mrs. J. J. Duffy (Aunt Katie) from Alex discussing current news and relatives.

Postcard from Lillian Graves to Ora and Junia Roberts Osterhout discussing Lillian's recent trip home. She apologizes for not being able to see them while she was there, but her mother was sick. There is a picture of the San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio, Texas on the front, and the description printed on the back says "This is the original Parish Church and the oldest of all these Spanish Mission churches which was erected by public subscription in 1732, and it was on the roof of this building that Santa Anna mounted his cannon in besieging the Alamo in 1836. The postcard is addressed to Misses Ora and Junia Osterhout in Belton, Texas, and it is postmarked San Antonio, January 9, 1911.

Postcard to Linnet White from Cora Robertson The front depicts a picture of the garden of Tampa Bay. On the back Cora writes about how she is enjoying her time in Florida and will write Linnet a real letter soon.

Postcard of a wharf with bales of cotton in front of ships. Printed text on the back of the postcard states that the place pictured is the Cotton Wharf in New Orleans, Louisiana. Handwritten note on the back of the postcard from Cecil to Lou Rayburn tells of Cecil's traveling plans.

Postcard with a photograph of a fire at a building with a fire wagon working to try to put it out. The building is frozen on the outside, and all of the firemen on the right side are wearing coats due to the temperature; the note on the card reads: "Equitable Fire [] 1-9-12. 62 Cos on the job. This is Eng. Co. 156."

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter discussing other collectors to contact for pictures, Johnston suggests contacting F. A. Bruce, and L. A. Van Toor. The photograph on the reverse side shows the destruction at the Globe M. F. G. Co. building in Battle Creek, Michigan after a fire; the walls are crumpled inwards and the roof has caved in. There are two men standing off to the left looking at the damage left behind by the fire.

Postcard from J. P. Eagan to George Pendexter describing the vehicle in the reverse-side picture; according to Eagan the vehicle and crew are apart of the #2 Salvage Corps in St. Louis. The photograph shows a fireman sitting on top of the horse-drawn fire wagon with an alarm bell behind him and a ladder in the bed. This wagon takes too horses to pull it and it has an inscription on the side that reads "Salvage Corps No. 2."

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter concerning life in Battle Creek, Michigan, Johnston says that they are having a cold winter. The photograph shows a building in town badly damaged by a fire; the sign on the building reads: "YES WE WILL REBUILD AT ONCE, TEMPORARY OFFICES 401 EQUITY BLDG., Chamberlin Metal Weather Strip Co."

Postcard with a photograph a building on fire in Crockett, Texas; the caption on the side of the photo reads: "This is the fire I was telling you about, the largest building here." Most of the flames in the photo are inside of the building as the walls are made of brick while the insides are made of wood.

Postcard of the Pittsfield Fire Department at their Headquarters, lined up with four horse-drawn wagons and one automobile (center). On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "Your card very much appreciated indeed - it is of this [...] interest and also adds to my collection of monuments. [...]"

Postcard of the New York Fire Department extinguishing a fire at the Equitable Building. The fire department is using multiple hoses to spray a wide area on the building. Shelves of ice have formed on the side of the building. On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "5 alarms followed by the 2-7. Call. (6 alarms more, 11 alarms in all.)"

Postcard addressed to George Pendexter with a note on the back noting that this is the only photo of this car. There are two firemen sitting in the front seat of the truck, and four other firemen are standing over by the garage entrance; there is a label on the side of the truck's engine reading "Chemical Engine W. F. D." There are children standing over by the right side of the car.
