He believes they can obtain rights of way from some of the people whose land the railroad will be constructed on, but likely not all. He asks where Sayles plans to build the railroad and states his opinion that it should run through the center of Callahan County, instead of farther north.

The letter lists the principle, interest, and total due to the bank. There is a stamp on the letter reading, "Paid [..] 1927 Citizens National Bank Abilene, Texas."
