Herrera writes that he will seek re-election as LULAC National President and asks Pinedo to consider running for re-election as LULAC Texas Regional Governor. Herrera mentions Jake Rodriguez's trip to Mexico on behalf of George Strake's bid for United States Ambassador to Mexico. The letter also includes travel plans for Carlsbad, New Mexico and San Angelo, Texas, to visit groups interested in reviving LULAC councils. Post-script notes thatHerrera had received an invitation to Governor Allan Shivers Inaugaural Reception.
