Spivey the elder, right, is a Southeastern State College basketball legend. He came out of tiny Bray near Duncan to go to school at the Durant college, and led the Savages to a national runner-up finish in 1955 and third place in 1957. His son now plays at Colbert in Bryan Co., where the elder Spivey is superintendent."
