Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Far cry from old-fashioned stationary desks where boys of a generation ago carved initials are these modern steel chairs and work tables. This classroom, modern in every detail, is one of 10 opened Monday at the new Ridgeview school, 10010 Ridgeview drive, in The Village. One of the newest schools in the city system, Ridgeview is presently serving about 300 elementary students, taking part of the student load off Andrew Johnson, Britton and University Heights schools. John has bulged at the seams despite rapid expansion of its building ever since it opened. Ridgeview youngsters have been attending class in facilities provided by University Heights and Britton. The Village and surrounding additions presents one of the biggest headaches for city baord of education members. An area of young families, school planners just haven't been able to keep up with the number of youngsters. The photo above shows how windows are used for lighting in today's carefully-planned school classrooms."
