Report issued by the Bureau of Mines over studies conducted on the vanadium deposits of Lincoln County, Wyoming. As stated in the introduction, "the work performed by the Bureau of Mines is explained in detail and supplemented with plans, sections, and a complete set of sample analyses. Proposed mining methods are discussed, and metallurgical tests are outlined" (p. 2). This report includes tables, maps, and illustrations.

From abstract: The uranium deposits in the Carlile quadrangle, southwestern Crook County, Wyo., are in relatively flat-lying sandstone beds in the lower part of the Inyan Kara group of Early Cretaceous age. The Carlile mine has the largest deposit in the quadrangle; the ore minerals are carnotite and tyuyamunite associated with carbonaceous material in a sandstone lens.

The following report presents a generalized description of the uranium deposits discovered in the northern Black Hills.

"This report contains data for samples collected during a geochemical survey for uranium in the Cody National Topographic Map Series (NTMS) quadrangle, Wyoming, by the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory (LASL) as part of the nationwide Hydrogeochemical and Stream Sediment Reconnaissance (HSSR). [...] Totals of 627 water and 1482 sediment samples were collected from 1529 locations at a nominal density of one location per 10 km2. Water samples were collected from streams, springs, and wells, and sediment samples were collected from streams and springs. Most samples were collected by two private contractors in the summers of 1976 and 1977" (p. 1).

Report discussing the investigation of the mineralogy and geochemistry of some subbituminous uraniferous coal from the Red Desert area of Sweetwater County, Wyoming. Data and discussion from the mineralogic and geochemical studies, Fischer retort assays of a coal sample, and summary and conclusions are included.
