The letter on the postcard writes, "Dear Mamie, we are in Vernon, will be home soon and are certainly glad of it. Guess if nothing happens I will see you about one week from Weds - Sia." The postcard is addressed to "Miss Mamie McFaddin c/o Mr. W. P. H. McFaddin Beaumont, Texas."

The back of the postcard adds, "Administered jointly by the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities (Jamestown National Historic Site) and the National Park Service, U. S. Department of the Interior." The message on the back is illegible. The postcard is addressed to "Mrs. Carroll Ward 1906 McFaddin Ave. Beaumont, Texas."
