The full-length gown has 3 diagonal-set flounces from left hip to right knee that fall to the hem on right side; flounces are each 7 ½” of pleated synthetic and are slightly ruffled; bodice has crescent princess seams with gathering at bust; straight skirt has a left-side slit; sleeves have single snap closure at wrists; dress is fully lined in satin; center-back zip closure. Evening suit of amethyst acetate with gold braid, embroidery and beads. a) Jacket in a short fitted style with long sleeves. Collarless with gold lace trim around neckline, center front and hem. Hidden center front closure of 4 large, black fabric-covered snaps supplemented with 2 hook & eyes. Fabric is woven with gold threads in a scalloped design embellished on front panels with gold beads and large gold teardrops. Gold lace trim also around armholes. At upper bust, to left and right of center front opening, are attached paired flaps of self fabric giving appearance of patch pockets with flaps. Skirt gathers at natural waist with full skirt. Gored panels to left and right of center back seam of skirt. Inner bodice of black net with boning and black grosgrain ribbon petersham; closes at center front with 9 hook & eyes. Unlined. Evening dress of fuchsia pink satin synthetic. Dress has long sleeves trimmed with row of tightly pleated ruffles. Scoop neckline is trimmed with double-row of matching ruffles. Full length, full skirt is trimmed with a matching ruffle at hem. Side slit pockets. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Unlined. Evening gown of black polyester velvet and satin. Heart shaped sweetheart velvet bodice with beaded leaf pattern applique embellishing surface. Embroidered Panel for Trade. Triangular appliquéd blocks of cotton fabric in various colors along the edges with hand embroidered center of double spiral geometric motifs embroidered on a satin background. This is a contemporary piece yet true to the original work of the Hmong.

Girl's huipil (blouse). Single breadth garment back strap loomed in cotton Double face brocaded geometric design motifs in synthetically-dyed cotton. Neck and side seams both hand stitched.

Headdress for a Child To Be Worn On New Year’s Day. Stepped silhouette, pompoms and fabric covered rod at top. Body of hat is appliqued cotton with embroidery. Decorated with pompoms made from acrylic yarn.

Coat of khaki cotton blend in oriental style. Below knee length with long dolman sleeves and mandarin collar. Coat is quilted and hand-painted in village scene with flowers and birds at the hemline. Collar and all edges bound in tan cotton tape. Center front closure of five spherical translucent buttons with loops of tan tape matching rest of coat. Lined in blue cotton blend. Maternity ensemble in turquoise blue crepe. A) Blouse in straight cut. Center front opening of five self-covered buttons with gold chain borders and barred buttonholes. High standing collar is quilted with eight rows of clear bugle beads and rhinestone sequins with beads; long sleeves have 3" cuffs matching collar. Cuffs have closure of three snaps. Attached 7-1/2” wide belt/sash attaches at front princess seams to give dropped waist effect; ties at left hip. 10” flounce at hemline.
