Dress of printed cotton. The floor-length dress is of cotton with a printed geometric design of a lattice of black rectangles on white background. It is sleeveless, with black spaghetti straps. There is a wide black "belt" of "quilted" cotton just below the bust, with a bow in front. The dress has a center back zipper closure with two hook-and-eye closures at top. It is fully lined in thin white fabric. Size 14.

Visor cap of medium brown plastic. The open crown consists of a vertical band which runs around front and sides, with brown and white elastic band across back. Printed at front center of crown is the Neiman-Marcus logo. The wide front visor is printed with three rows of scattered white squares.

Cap of blue felt. Designed as a modified baseball cap, the domed felt crown has a semi-circular visor at front. On front side of crown is top-stitched decoration in white yarn of outlines enclosing "N" and "M". Hat is unlined, with inner blue grosgrain ribbon hatband. Retailer's tag: "Made in England expressly for / Neiman-Marcus" With sticker: "100% Wool" With original "Sample" tag labeled "C407"

Skirt suit of red wool printed with black and gray floral designs in vertical stripes. A) Jacket. Quilted jacket with slight shawl collar, long sleeves, center front opening with two large circular red plastic buttons. Collar, opening, hem, and sleeves with black edging. Lined in dark red rayon. Coat dress of brocade printed with yellow, orange, and purple flowers having pink centers on a navy blue/black/dark purple ground with metallic thread throughout. Mandarin collar, short set-in sleeves. Buttons all the way down center front with self covered buttons and loops. Full length pleated skirt with shaped hemline. Lined in black poly, and the fabric is lined in black interfacing. Designer's label at center back: "Chester Weinberg". Retailer's label inside near back bottom hemline: "Neiman-Marcus"

Day dress of yellow linen. Sleeveless with V neck. Knee length. Princess seaming on front panel with sides and back skirt pleated. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Unlined. Evening dress of pink silk crepe. Full length tubular skirt with gathered natural waist seam and matching, attached, 3"wide, flat belt. The belt front is accented with a large five loop bow centered with a looped rosette cluster and is secured at center back opening with four hook & bars. Draped, sleeveless, side-less, tunic-style over bodice of same with open rounded neckline. The over bodice shapes over the bust with soft folds. Fitted, boned inner bodice of pink silk crepe with light brown spaghetti straps. Inner bodice and over bodice have separate center back zipper closures from mid-back to the waist with a single hook & loop/hook & eye at the neckline. The skirt is slit at center front from the hem to knee-level. Piece lined in pink silk. Wide, boned, white nylon tulle waist stay with center back closure. Collar of fox fur. Fully lined in gray. Inside breast pocket on left. Leather label inside: "Made in Canada"; Printed style/size label, illegible notes.

Coat of sheared lambswool in several shades of gray. Round collar, notched lapels. Double breasted closure with 6 large gray plastic buttons. Flap pockets at hips. Long sleeves; midi length. Coat style dress in eggplant machine lace re-embroidered with Lurex chenille in wine and silver, accented with couched silver threads in a stylized floral and foliage motif.

Dress is printed with somewhat surreal design of pink roses, violet butterflies, green water with blue plants growing from it, brown blossoms, and cream sections of negative space. Street-length with rounded neckline and attached self-tie. Long sleeves. Waist with 8 rows of horizontal gathered stitch detail forming a very light ruched effect. Center front concealed zipper opening with hook-and-eye at top. Unlined. Evening dress of white appliqued lace and black taffeta. Bodice of white lace with appliqued soutache braid in a floral chrysanthemum motif. Tea length; long sleeves with 3" cuffs and snap closure. Scooped neckline has a scalloped edge. Empire waist and gathered skirt of black taffeta. Center back zipper closure. Hemline of skirt is stiffened with 1-1/2" band of horsehair. Bodice lined in peach synthetic and skirt lined in black synthetic.

Day dress of synthetic chiffon in peach and brown floral print on black background. Maxi length. Drawstring, U-shaped neckline; short butterfly sleeves. Side seam pockets. Center front closure of black spherical buttons and loops. Tie belt of matching fabric. Designer's label: "Scott Barrie / New York"

Length of Handwoven Fabric. Two breadth garment handwoven in cotton on the backstrap loom. Natural brown cotton with white cotton stripes - warp faced weave. The 2 panels are joined with machine stitching and the ends have machine stitched hems. One panel is slightly longer (2 3/8") than the other.

Maternity dress of printed cotton blend(?) in pattern of geometric shapes in orange, green and red on pink background with "scratches" of dark pink and magenta. Knee length with wide rounded neckline faced in olive green linen. Elbow length sleeves have 3" bell shaped cuffs backed in olive green linen. Center back zipper closure; unlined. Designer's label at back neckline: "Page Boy / Dallas" Size "6" tag at hemline (faded).

Caftan. Vintage Guatemalan skirt (possibly from Santa Maria de Jesus) remade into a contemporary caftan. Original skirt handwoven on treadle loom all cotton. Hand embroidered cotton randa (joining seam). Notice the handmade fabric toggle closure at neckline to complement original design of skirt.

Faja (Belt) of red-orange, white, and black cotton. Handwoven on backstrap loom with warp face weave. Linear, geometric, repeating design of plants and human figures in red and black in the center, with primarily black and white band of repeating design along edges. Ends of faja unfinished/untied.

Picture hat of red woven straw. High, domed crown is encircled by wide band of folded/doubled red grosgrain ribbon with white polka dots, large bow at back. Wide brim turns up gently at front, and more sharply at back. Inner pink grosgrain ribbon hatband. Combined designer's/retailer's label on inner hatband: "Frank Olive / for / Neiman-Marcus"

Picture hat of olive green woven straw. High, cylindrical crown, flat at top, and very slightly conical, encircled at base by ca. 1" to 1 1/2" wide band of same woven straw, tied at back with extending tales. Wide brim, burned vertical at outer edge. Pink grosgrain inner hatband. Combined designer's/retailer's label on inner hatband: "Frank Olive / for / Neiman-Marcus"

Center panel from a 3 breadth ceremonial huipil. Handwoven on a backstrap loom in cotton with cotton double- faced brocaded pattern motifs (geometric and double-faced eagles)

Evening dress of light sage green/gray silk chiffon. The straight across bodice has very thin spaghetti straps and an attached over-the shoulder wrap with 4” lace border. The wrap is attached at the center front with a faux closure of six self-covered buttons and closure of a self-covered button and loop at the center back neckline. The full length straight skirt has two outer layers of gathered chiffon and a double spaghetti cord belt of self which forms a bow at the center front and closes with a hook & eye. Left side zipper closure with hook & eye. Lined in matching silk; white grosgrain petersham. Designer's label at center back: "Nina Ricci / “Boutique” / Paris" Retailer's label at center back: "Made in France especially for / Neiman-Marcus"
