Late day three-piece suit of black velvet. a) Jacket in modified bolero style with squared bottom corners. Long sleeves with 5" wide cuffs of heavy, white, open cut lace. Lined in cream satin. Combined designer/retailer label at center back neckline: "Neiman-Marcus Dallas / Traina-Norell" b) Blouse of white linen. Sleeveless. Collar of 6-1/2" wide lace matching cuffs of jacket. Tie of black ribbed silk attaches to collar with hook & loops. Center front opening with 5 small, circular white pearl buttons and tailored buttonholes reinforced with a snap at the neckline and a hook & eye at the waistline. Half-inch pin tucked front. c) Skirt of black velvet. Slight A-line with a 4" purple silk satin cummerbund waistband. Waistband is reinforced with boning and black grosgrain petersham. Cocktail dress of glitter-studded black chiffon. A) Outer dress is sheer, knee-length, with rounded neckline, and sleeveless. The body of the dress is decorated with vertical rows of clusters of tiny circular mirrored dots, glued to fabric. Wide band at hem of same clusters of mirrors, formed as a repeating band of large roses. Center back opening with hook and eye at neckline and 7 hidden snaps. B) Belt. Cocktail Ensemble of beige chiffon. A) Cocktail dress. Short, knee-length or slightly longer, sleeveless dress with narrow straps. Rounded neckline with self ruffle edging. Chiffon of bodice is gathered at neckline, vertical at front, but rounding to horizontal at back. Skirt has knife-pleating from natural waistline to hips, the pleats opening from hips and falling softly to hem. Center back zipper closure on main dress, with series of 4 snap closures below waist on pleated outer skirt. The skirt portion is formed as a pleated overskirt of chiffon over an inner silk crepe inner sheath, which has a wide ruffle of crepe at hem. D'Orsay Pumps

D'Orsay pumps of silver leather. Designed with rounded toe and cut-away sides, the pumps have vamp formed of two wide curving bands joined at top of vamp and open at sides and toe. The silver leather of the vamp and the closed heel and ankle strap are embellished with top-stitching; the straps secured with a square rhinestone-set buckle. The modified French heel is covered with silvered leather, without top-stitching. No markings in right shoe. Left shoe with sewn-in label: "Neiman Marcus Co. Dallas / Fenwyn / Trade Mark Reg'd." T-Strap Shoes

One pair of woman's high-heeled shoes with split t-strap, forming an inverted "V" from vamp to strap. The shoes are covered in a metallic copper/bronze silk textured weave and edged in gold metallic finished leather. The Boulevard set-under heels are lacquered with a metallic gold finish and set with rhinestones. One shoe with label inside: "Wise Shoe / For Every Occasion" Both shoes with hand-marked notations: "6 1/2 aa / D30014 / 11-564" Some rhinestones on the heels have been replaced at some point in the past with other rhinestones that do not quite match the original stones. Rhinestones missing on heel of left shoe & button on instep closure missing. Measurements: Shoe is 17.1 cm. wide x 25 cm. long x 13 cm. high. Heel is 6.5 cm. (2 1/2") high on axis, including cap. Shoes

Shoes of purple satin with silver kid leather trim. The shoes combine the closed heel and cut-away sides of a d'Orsay pump with the open strap-work vamp of a sandal. They have an ankle strap which secures with a small rectangular buckle, and which connected to the vamp via a strap which runs along the top of the foot. Evening Slippers

Heeled evening slippers or pumps of peach satin. Designed with pointed toe, the plain uppers have a simple seam/stitch along squared edge of vamp which runs horizontally to meet the sole near heel. This seam gives a "two-tone" effect to the satin as the light hits it. The 2 1/4" high modified French heel is covered with the same satin. Skirt ensemble

Sky blue two-piece suit of raw silk. (a) Short sky blue silk jacket. Wide V-neckline with wide notched collar and lapels. 3/4 length sleeves cut in one with jacket body supplemented by two triangular shaped gussets under the arm. Lapped center front opening with one large, round, plastic, pebbly textured, light blue button and inseam (yoke seam) buttonhole supplemented by single snap and hook&eye. Fronts have bias cut yoke which cuts across bust line. Lower front pieces are also bias. Self fabric belt at waist goes through holes in front and side panel seams and ties just around the fronts, leaving back straight. Vents at hem below belt holes. Fully lined in blue silk. Designer's label stitched inside back neck below collar: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V.
