Interview with Sidney F. Krohn, to get his reminiscences and impression during his stay on the USS Pennsylvania, at Pearl Harbor, especially during the Pearl Harbor attack. Krohn was born in Ocean Springs, Mississippi in 1922, and went into the Navy 1939.

Clip 2 of the audio recording contains an interview with Margaret Walker Alexander, a poet, and writer who discusses spending fifteen (15) years writing about Richard Wright with her novel Richard Wright: Daemonic Genius. Around the fourteen-minute mark the audio transitions into political questions and answers for political candidates for office.

Audio cassette from The Black Academy of Arts and Letters recorded during a session with gospel singer Tommie Stewart in June of 1982. The tape incudes two tracks of well recorded audio. The first track is a dramatic spoken word poem "For My People" that touches on the topics of slavery and civil rights. The second track is Tommie Stewart speaking to Curtis King about an upcoming performance with a dance company.

The first recording is a compilation of random clips of audio featuring: an interview on The Dallas Morning News with a health inspector over the food conditions within convention centers; a conversation between two radio hosts comparing the cost of public transportation around the world to those found in Dallas; Dallas City Council members arguing over the distribution of convention tickets to different local areas; a community member being interviewed by a radio host about trying to getting approval from the federal government to fund a public trolley system in Dallas; and, someone talking about how the great accommodations within the Dallas Convention Center. The second clip is of author Margaret Walker Alexander talking about the inspiration for her book to an enraptured audience.
