A Western Union telegram sent to The Governor, State of Colorado, Denver, Colorado, wiht a note that the same telegram was sent to the governors of Arizona (Phoenix), New Mexico (Santa Fe), and Oklahoma (Oklahoma City), from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Army Day Arrangements Committee, Abilene, Texas, dated March 31, 1941. Carswell issues an invitation to attend Army Day, that "General Key and the Mayor of the City of Abilene join in this invitation."

A letter written to Uncle Norwood [T. N. Carswell] from Ashley [Ashley Carswell], Tucson, Arizona, dated September 13, 1944. Ashley Carswell advises that he has completed training and is ready to go overseas. He has a nine-day delay with his crew to pick up a new ship and equipment in Topeka, Kansas, drive to Dallas then fly to Jacksonville to be home four or five days. He assures his Uncle that he is "not worried about going across because I've got the best crew on the field―but I am the only Rebel."

Letter from L. E. Cowling to Truett Latimer discussing opposition from many to an Insurance Policy Approval Bill, as it would give more authority to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners rather than the State Insurance Department.

Collection of envelopes in which Dock Dilworth Parramore stored various company records such as letters and field notes. A note on the largest envelope was handwritten by W. J. Sellers in 1963 explaining his own reasons for keeping the envelopes.

Letter from E. K. Capeton to J. H. Parramore discussing the death of Capeton's mare, which was killed by a bull belonging to Parramore in Mr. Barker's pasture. Capeton writes seeking out monetary compensation for the loss of his mare and to dispute an accusation made by Mr. Wheeler that he had placed the mare in Mr. Barker's pasture without consent.

Cancelled certificates are marked so with paper notes or red ink. A photograph of a building and a few loose paper notes and letters are tucked into some of the pages.

A handwritten note on the back by the notary public includes Purcell in the notarization, who was initially left off. A second handwritten note below explains that the document is a copy, along with where the original was signed and located.
