There is a photo of Curry crouching next to a boat that was taken by Dan Santema. The article focuses on Curry's time as dean, bringing in faculty, growing enrollment, and the college's accreditation. There is also a list of the deans leading up to Jay A. Smith Jr., who was dean at the time of the article's publishing.

Dr. Lavender established the Rare Book and Texana Collection - its purpose is to preserve rare and special materials for research and cultural heritage. Together with Richard Himmel, they discuss the O. S. Levis and Frederic Remington exhibition: Two Vision of the American West that was on display from October 10th through December 15th, 1988.
