The North Texas State Teachers College Library Building exterior in 1937, taken from across the street. The street, Avenue B, can be seen in front of the building. A row of small trees are placed adjacent to the sidewalk in front of the building. This building served as the university's library until 1971, shortly after the A.M. Willis Library was built. It was renamed the Information Science Building in 1971/1972 and then later renamed as Sycamore Hall in 2011.

Photograph of Clara Lou "Ann" Sheridan, an American actress and singer. She was active in dramatics at Denton High School and at North Texas State Teachers College. She also sang with the college's stage band and played basketball on the North Texas women's basketball team.

[Deceased photograph of Desiderio Lasano shortly after he was shot]

Photograph of Desiderio Lasano shortly after he was shot to death. Lasano was a 23 year-old Mexican who was slain on April 29, 1938. The typed information on the back of the photograph reads, "On the night of April 29th, 1938 - Deciderio Losano (Mexican) 27 years old. Deciderio was shot with a 380 automatic pistole when he was trying to his his brother, Guadalupte Lasano, who has just been shot and killed with the same pistol and by the same Claudio Quiroz. Deciderio and his brother Guadalupe was having trouble with Claudio after gambling and drinking. Deciderio was killed about 3:30 o'clock at night (and brother, Guadalupe) in a Mexican camp about 16 miles west of Crowell, Texas. There was about 100 Mexicans in this camp. We caught Claudio about one hour latter and put him in jail. We put him and Braulio Lopez, Andrew Quiroz, Jeronimae Jalavis, Taislo Jalavis and Juan Garcia. Claudio was tried and convicted of the murder of Deciderio Losano and sentenced to serve seven years in the state penitentiary. Deciderio Losano was shot once in the left hip and the bullet made a complete circuit around his body, he died three minutes later."

Lilly and J. D. Todd caught him in Fairview, Ohio. 4 days later. He stayed in jail about six mo. (months) and broke out of jail stole my pistol and escaped. We caught him in Oklahoma 3 days latter."

The typed information on the back of the photograph reads, "Guadalupe Losano, the first of the two brothers killed. He had a gun in his belt which was a 32-20 caliber. The gun has been fired twice. Guadalupe was shot once between the eyes, once in the left shoulder (rear) and once thru the heart. Murdered April 29, 1938. Losano brothers were both drinking and both had been gabline with Claduio Quiroz."

Photograph of Perry Gamble's body, following his suicide by train. Typed on the back of the photograph, "The body of Perry Gamble - On the night of April 23rd, 1939, Perry Gamble left his house one mile north of Foard City at three o'clock in the morning and went to the rail road. The fireman on the train saw him standing beside the track. Just before the train got to him, he throwed his hands up and dove in front of the train. Eleven cards passed over his body. Both hands, both feet and his head was cut off. All his clothes were tore from his body. Parts of his skull and flesh, his brains, klesh, and his insides were scattered alonge the track fro about one hundred and fifty yards. This happened about seven miles south of Crowell, Texas. Sheriff - A. W. Lilly. Deputy - J. D. Todd. Perry was about 33 years old and had a wife and two kids. The only way we could identify his body was by his clothes. He had been sich for about two weeks and had tried to borrow a gun from two different people and had failed to get one. …
